Well I have two thing of utmost importance to tell you all, and two that arn't as important but still important.

First:  MY PARENTS ARE CELEBRATING THIRTY ONE YEARS OF MARRIAGE TODAY!!!!!!!  It is amazing how God has worked in their lives and how He used both of them to raise six unique children and helped them to grow each day in their love for each other.  Thanks Mom and Dad you are a great example of a good marriage.

Second:  OUR CHURCH IN URUGUAY IS GETTING A NEW CHURCH BUILDING!!!!!!!!!!  I don't exactly know all the details but I'm going to paste a copy of the letter I recived.

Dear Prayer Team,

We are so excited!  After years of praying, the Lord has led us to an agreement on a building for our church!  The paperwork process is underway.  It's not ours yet - but barring any unforeseen obstacle it should be ours within a couple weeks.  Please keep praying.  Our church family is super encouraged at the way God has worked!

Last Tuesday (July 25), we received a phone call from a guy (Jorge) at a real estate office.  He had shown me a piece of property in January as a possibility for a church building.  Jorge had remembered us and called to ask if our church was still looking for a building.  He said he had something in our neighborhood that might meet our needs  -  a church building!  A Catholic Church is selling the building you see in the picture.  It's only five blocks from our present location.

We went to take a look at it the next day.  It is impressively big.  There is certainly room to grow.  There will be plenty of room for special events and ministries: VBS, Christmas program and dinner, anniversary meetings and other outreaches.  It should be a permanent fixture in our neighborhood for years to come as a beacon of light.

Through the church's own savings and an interest-free loan, we have the funds to buy it!  Anything we have looked at over the years has been double in cost.  The timing is perfect too: our contract runs out the end of August on the place we are presently renting .  We are dreaming of having our church's 13th anniversary meeting the first Sunday of September!  You are invited!  (you might have to bring your own chair!)

This is sooooooo coool I just feel WOW.  Of course it would have never been posible without God.

Third:  Our store is going to be closing on the 12 of August.  Business has been really slow and the owner just wants to close before there is to much more damage done.  So that means I will have a week and a half off before I go to school.  Which part of I plan to spend with Drew and Teresa

Fourth:  I've got a ride to ABC!!!!!!!!!!!!  I called the school and asked if there was anyone near me that would be willing to give me a ride to school and they found a guy in like an hour east of Kansas City.  So I'll be going with them to ABC!!!!  Drew and Teresa have offerd to drive me to their house, which is a major blessing.  Well I think thats about it.  "Talk" to ya'll latter.

P.S: here is a picture of the new church.  ( I made the sign it's not really there 8^D)

Ok I know I haven't updated in like forever and ever and prrobably most of you want to stangleme.  I really don't have an excuse so all I can say is sorry.  Well first things frst....

  I'M AN UNCLE AGAIN!!!!!

Reid Jerry Rietjens was born on July 5.  Both Mom, baby and Dad are fine.  I got to go when the baby was born and be with the growing family. Also my Mom was there and before the baby was born she came to visit me here in Derby.  It was so good to see her.  I already have a new boss.  Her name is Nicole.  But we are down to only one sales personwhich is the other Nicole.  Yes I know its confusing but that's the way it is.  So our store has only three emplyees now Nicole, Nicole, and me.  There was another lady that came for a trial period but she was let go.  I joind teh choir at church and its lots of fun.  The camp season has started and I really wanted to go to some but when your trying to save up money it doesn't help to spend it. I get to go to Springhill again on Sunday for the baby shower that they are going to have for Ried.  A lady in the church (who also went to Uruguay) has offered to take me up there.  While I'm there I get to see Drew and Teresa and the big boy and the baby boy (of course), My Mom, Jim and Debbie, and hopefully Tammy and Robert.  I don't know if Jason is going to be able to make it but if he does that would be soooooo cool.  Well I think that is pretty much it.  bye

Here is a picture of Reid.  Ain't 'e cute!!!!

Ok so it's been like for forever scince I updated but my life is relatively boring.  Barely anything exciting happens and all I seem to be doing is work.  Oh,  I went to visit Drew, Teresa and Roger last week and had a really go time.  I got to spend time with them and be with Teresa on her birthday.  When I got back my boss had quit. I knew he was going to resign but he said he was leaving the end of this month so that was a shock.  The Hoods went to Bransen on vacation and so I got the house all to my self.......  Well I think I just sumerized it.  Hope every thing is going well.

Hi,  I'm sorry I haven't "updated" for a really long time but I really don't have all that much to write about because I mostly work.  My hours changed and now I work from 10 to 5 instead of 10 to 6.  For those of you wondering I work at a furniture store and I'm the warehouse\what-ever-they-tell-me-to-do guy.  I move furiture around on the sales floor and set up the stuff in the warehouse and odds and ends jobs.  Oh I just thought of something cool that happened last week.  Two ladies came in and looked around and bought a sectional and a futton and paid with a check.  But my boss (his name is Rob)  thought something was funny because she just pulled out a check that was all writen out for $25,000 and had one of the sales guys (Ryan) call the bank and ask about it.  Well it turned out the check was fake and so we called the cops.  But by then the ladies had left and taken the futton.  So they had said that somebody was going to come pick-up the sectional and we told the cops that and they said to call when they got there.  Well about a half an hour later this guy shows up in an old beat up pickup truck and so while we "helped" him move the sectional out back,  we had him go out back so there wouldn't be a scene out front,  Rob called the cops.  Well the man and Ryan were taking a pice of the sectional out back and the cop came in and said,  "Hey buddy,  why don't you put that down and come talk to me."  and the dumb guys says "What did I do?"   That was kind of a dead giva away.  But to make a long story short, the guy got arested for driving with a fake licence and because he had already gotten arested severl times before.  Rob thought that he had been using drugs but the police couldn't search the truck without a warent.  But the guys wife came in a nice SUV and left it in the front parking lot and took the beat up pickup, anothe dead giva away.  But any how the lady that bought the sectional and the futton anded up being the guy who came to pick up the sectional's ex-wife.  But we haven't gotten our futton back so that kind of stinks.  Well I hope you guys are happy that I've "updated".  I'll try to update more often.  Oh Michaela, I don't have my address with me and I don't know it by memory so I'll post it once I get a chance.
